A submarine cable in the middle east has snapped and its affecting telecom and internet users in the following countries: India, Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. If I can remember, it was just last year when another cable snapped in Taiwan due to earthquake and it affected Asian countries such as the Philippines. Well, work was slow but I still got paid. ;-)

I guess since India is the one mostly affected by this new trouble over the cables, all call centers in India will be heavily impacted. I guess more calls for us pinoy call center agents. Waaah! I’m sure, we will be heaving queuing for at least a week.. What’s a good thing about this? No more pesky GOC calls for now. Yay!

FYI, yes, the motorcycle driven bumbays will still go to your suking tindahan to collect debts from 5-6 despite this fiber cut.
