Do you ever wonder why?
Do you ever wonder why God let it happen? Sometimes it makes me wonder why God let a bad event happen to someone. An example is why He let a baby born with birth defects that will soon claim its life. Why let the child be conceived and linger in nine months on the mother’s womb but it will be taken away afterwards. An innocent child who can barely protect itself.
I read once in Andrew Matthew’s book called Follow Your Heart (one of my favorite books) that sometimes we cannot answer all the worlds questions. I agree but somehow I found an answer for myself. I think that God uses events (good or bad) or people to shape us into His image.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that the particular event is for the person experiencing it. It can be for someone else. For example, Mr. Y’s house got burned. It can be a way for his neighbor, Ms. X to help someone in need.
Now, when I encounter disappointments, failures or unanswered prayers, I will just have to remind myself that it might be God’s way of knocking at my door.
