Blogging Away From Home
I’m still not home and spending a great weekend with the family. We had a feast yesterday and I think I’m still ready for more. Hehe. I will upload pics and more posts about it soon. I’m taking a lil break from blogging and enjoying vacation time with the Husband. I hope you all my blog friends in the States also had a fun thanksgiving.
So Many Tasks Too Little Time
We will be going to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. Before going for that journey, I still have a lot of things to do at home. I want everything spic-and-span at home before we leave so that when we come back we can just rest and not worry about it anymore. I will have to finish them all today so I might not be able to blog or bloghop today. Here are some of my tasks to do:
* Laundry. The clothes were supposed to be dry yesterday but it got rained on while we have visitors in the house. ![]()
* Put away groceries
* Vacuum the carpet
* Black Friday is coming and I’m still undecided which digital camera to get. I thought I have already decided the other day but WM just put out a new sale and now it gets me more confused. I will post separately about this dilemma.
* Need to pack up clothes and toiletries for a 3-4 day trip
Got to go for now to do these things. And it is already 11AM!
Get LOST
Another ABC show that I like is LOST. I wonder what new things am I going to discover in the next season. A lot of fans are getting excited as well like the Husband. While waiting for the new season, let me post this counter that looks like the countdown timer in the show.
There’s Always a Silver Lining
In an attempt to feel better despite disappointments, let me post one of the poems I remember reciting in grade school. I’m actually typing this from memory.
There’s always a silver lining
Somewhere in the sky
To give your troubled soul new hope
And lift your spirits high
When disappointments come in your way
Accept them with a smile
Because deep down in your heart you know
They only last awhile
Do not believe you walk alone
Because you never do
Hold out your hand and you will find
That God is there with you
Day of Disappointments
*sigh* Yesterday is definitely that day. I won’t share all of them for good reasons except one. I’m so bummed that one of my favorite shows “Pushing Daisies” is now really pushing daisies in the TV world. ABC has decided to cancel the show due to its poor viewership. Sad, sad, sad. :( This is such a wonderful show. Me and the Husband awaits every single episode of this critically acclaimed show. If Bryan Fuller (creator) will make a movie of this show, I will definitely watch it in the big screen.
Even Emerson Cod looked gloomy
Terrific Dinner
I’m so proud of myself that I was able to successfuly cooked a ham. The Husband and I loved it. We ate it with peas and mashed potato. It made me smile when he said its an A grade for my cooking. Hehe. After the holiday season, I have to do more than just reading orovo reviews but I have to diet and exercise as well. At the rate of how we are eating, I won’t be surprised if we gained so much weight.
Ham-mer Time!
The husband is really challenging my cooking skills. Hehe. Today, I’m cooking ham. It was just a spur of the moment when we bought that ham. I told him that we should not buy turkey again so we will miss the taste of it. My mother-in-law will be preparing that on thanksgiving anyway. So far, the ham is looking and tasting good. We are just waiting for one more hour till our next great meal. Yay!
