Happy New Year!
For me it seems that 2008 flew by quickly. It was sure way better than 2007 and I hope 2009 will be a whole lot better. I wish everyone another year of good career, love, health and life!

A Christmas Story
My christmas was quite simple yet well spent with my favorite person in the world – the Husband. The night before Christmas I just chatted with my family online. We did not have the typical noche buena. I cooked bourbon street chicken for us for dinner. We then open one of the gifts at 12 MN. Then, on Christmas Day we went out and watch a movie and ate at a nearby buffet restaurant. When we came home, we opened the rest of the gifts. Here’s a picture of our first christmas together with our ‘cute’ tree:
I’m quite spoiled these days because he is on christmas break. Come January, I will have less time spent with the Husband. Oh well, part of life as they say. He is working and studying hard so we can have better lives. Aside from paying bills, we need to get health and auto insurance next year.
New Year’s Resolution
I always make one each year. Although, I don’t follow up on most of them especially the losing weight part, I still make resolutions each year. The new year always feels like having a new clean slate to start with. Here are some that I came up with on top of my head. I know the list will go on as I ponder more on it.
1. Lose weight – yet again. LOL. I keep on gaining each year though. ![]()
2. Learn a new skill – well I actually learn a couple this year such as baking, cooking , CSS, digital scrapbook etc
3. Learn a new language – I started spanish lessons with the Husband this year but we stopped so I guess I have to go over them again.
3. Read more books – I still have a tiny one unread. I only read a couple of pages in months! I know, its embarrassing. I like new books but I have to force myself to read these classics.
4. Find a job – It was impossible this year because of the moving out ordeal. Before the year ends, things are getting ironed out. Hopefully next year, I can afford not only tv stands but the tv as well!
5. Save money – This coincides with the 4th resolution. Save money from the pay check.
6. Be neat and tidy – I’m not a slob but I have a tendency to misplace things. Maybe a little OC-ness won’t hurt.
Happy Birthday Bro!
I hope you are having a happy birthday despite the fact that you just went to the cemetery to say your final farewells to grandma. Too bad I cannot be there. We will miss her but I know she is watching over us. She always remember our birthdays.
Merry Christmas!
Its already christmas eve! How time flies so fast. I hope everyone will have a very merry christmas. Here’s an quickpage I got from weeds and wildflowe designs.

New Theme Soon
I was able to get a new theme for this blog. It should make it more cleaner and organized like my other blog. I have alreaady made a custom header and footer but I’m still buying my time in installing it but I will most likely do it before the year ends. I hope everyone is doing great. Ciao!
Job Hunter
My goal next year is to be able to work and help out the Husband in our finances. I have no idea still what kind of job I will apply for. I want to try something new other than my old crappy call center jobs. The Husband doesn’t want me to work for retail and often advises me to choose one that will exercise my mind. I think I prefer to work from home for a change. Anyway, we don’t have a second car yet for me so it would be wise to do home based jobs plus it will save us money for gas. I bet next year will be a tough time for everyone job hunting. Not only am I going to compete with the newly graduates but also with the people who has been laid off this year. I hope I can get a good paying job like those people working for a public relations firm San Diego.
