Weight a Minute!

After taking a shower, I decided to weigh myself since I have not done that in a long time.  I figured that I probably lost a couple of pounds since I don’t eat much these days.  I also thought that knowing I have lost some should motivate me more to eat healthy and exercise.  It was a wrong decision.  I gained and its A LOT MORE pounds.  It is so frustrating sometimes.  My weight just keeps on increasing.  Every time I weigh I keep on telling myself “this is my heaviest”.  *sigh*  I’m really fighting not to get depressed and lose the little motivation left in losing weight.  I just had it with this weight issues.  Ugh!  I need to make a weight loss blog to keep track. I’m getting desperate. :(

Presentation

This was our lunch – pan fried chicken in cream sauce with mashed potato.  I know it sounds complicated but its not.  I just made up the “cream sauce”.  Hehe.  Glad it turned out ok but what I’m really proud of is the plating.  I like it when the food is presented nicely so I always make sure to do that every time I prepare a meal for us.  By the way, it was also my first time to make mashed potatoes for public consumption.  I want it creamy so I made sure it will turn out just like that.  The husband liked it as much as I did.  I guess that’s enough compliment for me.  Tomorrow, I have to figure out another way to cook chicken breast.  Thank God for online food blogs and recipes.  I just hope I have the necessary ingredients in the kitchen.  I have stories to tell about my early surprise which I will post tomorrow.  For now, I have to continue reading weight loss pills reviews and then off to bed.

Monday Blues

I know its already tuesday but this deserves a post.  My Monday was not great.  Normally, I set Monday as a day for chores offline and online.  However, I was tired Sunday night that I extended my sleep the next day.  I also have been having bad cramps all day.  The cold weather seems to add to the pain.  Since I promised the husband that I will read the DMV book this week, I went outside and sat on a chair while reading.  The sun provided that warmth that I needed I was able to finish half of the book.  I was also able to write on my journal.  Unfortunately, I did not exercise at all.  I prefer doing cardio than taking artificial fat burners simply because I don’t like meds.  Today, I will have to read the rest of the book.  I have to go now and continue reading.  Till next post!

New Art Projects

I still do have some digital scrapping to do but I also want to try other art projects.  I want to try hybrids scrap and also some t-shirt designs.  I know it sounds big but I want to start on small projects first.  I know I should not be getting anything for myself but I’m thinking of buying a colored printer.  I’m already eyeing one in particular.  It is less than its original price so it will be a good buy.  We don’t have a printer due to some err unavoidable circumstances.  Hehe.  This is a big purchase (for me at least) so I have to consult the husband.  I will also need some other supplies (which are cheaper) like a box cutter, chipboard and papers for my hybrid projects.

Almost Done

I’m so proud of the husband.  He is almost done with school.  By next month, he can start working on a new profession.  I know that it was hard for him and I appreciate the effort and hardwork to give us a better life.  Things will get better soon and I know it will.  More than likely his new job will get us health insurance since it is in the medical field.  Hopefully this year I can get a job too so we can start saving for our future home.  Then once we have kids, we can decide on which of those term life insurance quotes to get.

Travel in Comfort and Style

The last time I travelled, my shoulders hurt so bad.  I had a bag full of documents and a very heavy laptop.  I don’t want to experience that whole thing again.  Not to mention, my jacket was not enough to keep me warm.  When I landed at the Detroit airport, I looked like a sick puppy.  Although that was just a stop over, there is no excuse for not being prepared.  It was the end of winter when I got there.  I think that was the coldest weather I have ever experienced since I spent most of my life in a tropical country.  The next time I travel, I will bring a good coat and not too heavy carry-on.  Since my laptop always go with me, I think I want to have this bag from Zero Halliburton.  The backpack can balance the weight on my shoulders.  What do you think?
