See Yah Alligator
Yesterday we went out canoeing in the Chassowitzka River. The husband has been wanting to go there but I refused to go because I’m terrified with the thought of alligators swimming around while I paddle. The day before, he showed me the place so that I will have an idea how it looks like there. It seemed nice and calm so I finally agreed.
The weather was nice and so we went in the next day and canoed. I saw crabs under water as well as fishes. The Chaz reminds me of the Amazon River. Hehe. We rented a metal canoe that came with two paddles and lifesavers.
I was actually doing fine until I saw a gator. I started getting nervous but the husband was relaxed the whole time until it started to get close. I was very terrified.
Drive Me Nuts
After a year, here I am still learning how to drive. We had to stall this a bit while we were processing some papers but now that’s done I’m back to driving again. The husband said that I did well today. I still have a bit of a trouble of putting the signals because I have not used them at all during practice drives in our yard. I was relaxed the whole time and I can’t wait to have another driving lesson with the husband. I was able to do reverse parking, thank you to the java game I always play. Haha. Anyway, I still have a lot more things to learn. I’m still not used to the cruise control and road rules. Good luck to me. I can’t wait to start driving on my own.
I think I did so much better compared to the first time I was behind the wheel a couple of years ago. I was sweating like crazy then like I was just under one of those shower faucets. Also, I was barefoot because I can’t seem to ‘feel’ the pedals.
Ocala, Tampa and Beyond
As I have mentioned in my previous post, I’m currently out of town. The night we arrived, we ate at the nearby chinese buffet. The long trip was all worth it with the unlimited amount of shrimps and crab legs. We left the restaurant till we can no longer walk. I better find the best diet supplement soon. Yesterday, we spent the whole day driving around different cities. We went to Tampa, Ybor and St. Petersburg. It has been a long since I’ve seen “signs of civilisation” since moving to the slow poke countryside. I do miss the city life sometimes. Anyway, after going south, we headed back north to Ocala. I think that’s my new favorite place because there are three big craft stores there namely Joann’s, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Every time I go inside the crafts store, I feel like a kid inside a toy store. 
Tired
I won’t be blogging too much today because I feel so tired. We arrived last night here at my in-laws after a long drive. I will be putting up updates soon but for now I want to relax. I did not get a good sleep last night. I feel asleep watching Star Wars but I don’t think its because of that. Hehe. Tomorrow, we will explore the town and might drop by in one of shoe stores nearyby. The husband needs a pair. I’m thinking of getting Beautifeel shoes myself. My ankles hurt every time I use my ballet flats. I have to sign out for now and will be back to blogging soon. Ciao!
EDM Samples
Guess what arrived today yesterday in the mail? It’s my EDM samples and my baby kabuki brush. I’m impressed! I was expecting it to arrived next month but I’m not complaining. I’m still waiting for my other makeup loots like the eye shadows from strawberrynet and brushes from e.l.f. I will try it on later and see which formula and color works best for me. Just one more foundation to try and I’m done with testing. I might post a review soon. I’m just sneaking in a few blog posts and websites every break from my scrapbooking. After I finish reading this Lipofuze review, time to go back again to photoshop and finish my layouts.
Recessionista Bride
A friend of mine will be getting married late this year and as early as now she has already been making preparations for her big day . With the recession that is going on, it is not wise to spend too much on a wedding that will only last for a day. Like any bride, you want to look beautiful on that special day but as a soon-to-be wife you have to look for the best bridal prices. I thought that might be impossible but I was wrong. Just a little surfing on the net and I found wonderful wedding dresses online like this one. The bridesmaid dresses are nice too. I like this one because its wearable for cocktail parties.
Projects Galore
I stopped exercising this week even if I just realized that I gained a couple of pounds. I’m swamped with art projects that needs to be taken cared of soon. I’m not yet done with the designs. I’m glad I got another free six photo books from another scrapper. I’m also enjoying myself in downloading so many nice digital kits. They will be very useful for my designs because it seems like I keep on using the same kit over and over. After I’m done with these, I will have to go back to exercising and getting healthy again. I wish my body looks good enough to model for an equestrian apparel.
