A Day Called OFF

Last Tuesday, despite the rain, we made a little trip down to Panama City beach. It was quite a long drive. It makes me wish we live closer to places where we can go to instead of farmville-worthy looking town.  Let’s play a little bit of fill in the blanks. :) The husband and I played 3 games of…

bowling

There weren’t much people which we both like. They are also playing our genre of songs (80’s-90’s) with matching video wall. No wonder I don’t see teens playing. LOL! I also like the ball that I got because its not too heavy. What we don’t like? It was a little bit difficult to play because the floor is slippery even though we were wearing…

The husband beat me in all 3 games which doesn’t surprise me. :) However, I might have an excuse for the last game. I might need to call up some Tennessee injury lawyers because of…

Rants and Firsts

Nowadays, every time I wake up, I still feel so tired. It feels like I turned hundreds of industrial hand wheels the whole day. This schedule is a pain. We both haven’t adjusted to it yet. It just seems like we don’t have enough hours to do anything with this schedule. The husband wakes up feeling tired and comes home tired. Anyway, enough about my ranting on our sched.

This week, we had our two firsts for the year. I roasted a turkey (and still have so much meat left on the fridge). It sounds kinda early to be doing that but this is a perfect time for us because they are marked down. Another first is the purchase of eggnog. Last year, we drank so many of those. No wonder, we both gained weight. This time though, we are doing well controlling ourselves. It took us a couple of days to finish it off. Halloween is just around the corner and as always we don’t have any plans. There’s nothing going on here in nowhere land.:( Oh well, we’ll see about dressing up my two little victims just for fun.

Ribbon Trick

I’m thinking of something creative to do with my ribbons. I want to fold it into a rose. Just imagine the myriad of things I can use that with like hair accessories or clothing for formal occasions, you know the kind the requires men to wear tuxedos. I tried the easiest technique in folding it into a rose but I did not like the outcome very much. The web has several tuts on how to fold it but I can’t seem to do it. It was too diffult for the novice that I am. After several tries, here’s what I end up doing…

potty training 101

Do you have a routine that you follow every day? I do or at least try to. It helps me to accomplish things that needed to be done that day. It doesn’t have to be a strict scheduling system, just a way of remembering tasks and chores for the day. Here’s how my typical day is:

  • Wake up
  • Brush teeth
  • Feed my two baby boys (feline friends)
  • Put Bruno to his box for potty training ;)
  • Brew coffee
  • Take meds which I still find ridiculously priced that I want to book a medical travel to the Philippines
  • Fix bed Read more
