Scrooge Lives Here

We are already entering the 2nd week of December but there is still no sign of Christmas in this house. That’s what happen when I procrastinate too much now I’m so far behind. Last night, I couldn’t take it anymore and has to do something quick to make our place Christmas-y, after all its my favorite holiday. I end up making a wreath using cardboard from a computer box and some patterned papers from my scrapbooking stash.

I still have some felt available at home that can be turn into wonderful decorations. I can’t find any good excuse since I stay at home most of the time. Busy? Hell no! It’s not like I’m a pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney. Just lazy, I suppose. I already made some Christmas cards so that’s good. Talking about decorations, I’ll go ahead and start on some more projects. Ta ta!

Let It Snow

This year’s fall/winter is a whole lot cooler than last year’s. As an island girl, I can bear the heat more than the cold. I still use blankets in summer, believe it or not. But yesterday, when I saw the radar map that snow is coming our way, I was ecstatic. Snow in the Sunshine State is quite unusual. I was so excited, snow virgin here ahem…I went outside and did not see any snow. However, everything is so white. It was the first frost of the season.

I went outside and walked around the house for a bit. I was waiting for snow that will not come. I watched our outdoor cats running around perhaps to keep themselves warm.

Finally, when I can no longer take the coldness, I went inside with a red runny nose. For a person who wants to see snow, it is ironic that I quickly snuggled right next to the heater and wanting to replace the bedroom light fixture with a heat lamp. Maybe the snow is not for me but still I want to see and experience it at least for a day. After that, I can go back to my not-so-cold-sunshiny weather with smile.

Asian Store Hunt

I’m quite sad when I found one that the nearest Asian store where I get my stuff is now closed. I guess business is not doing too well for them. This economic crisis hurts small businesses the most. There is also an increase of people seeking employment. I’m glad that I was able to buy a few supplies during Thanksgiving vacation near my in-law’s place. Anyway, I will have to look for another one because I have been craving for the instant pancit canton (chow mien) sometimes.

Friday Fill-Ins

I was early the last time I participated in this meme.  This time around I’m quite too late.  Thanks for farmville for keeping “busy”.  Enjoy!

  1. You get what you give.
  2. We all have the right to love and be loved.
  3. It’s cleaning time.
  4. This rainy weather is simply ridiculous!
  5. I feel more lazy when the temperature drops.
  6. Later, I will definitely have to update my blog and look for a free seo software as for now…goodnight!
  7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to blogging, tomorrow my plans include tidying up our place and decorating and Sunday, I want to sleep as much as I want!

Extended Vacation

After a couple of days of Thanksgiving vacation at my in-laws, the husband and I extended it for a week more by just sleeping in the house.  The week was supposed to be for cleaning and Christmas decorating but we did not do all of that.  Yes, it was one heck of unproductive week.  It has been stormy these past few days too so the rain somehow always lull us to sleep.  LOL.  I’m quite tired of seeing gloomy skies and I miss the day full of sunshine.  Looking at the radar map, I won’t be seeing a bright sunny day later.  *sigh*  I’m back to blogging and will be active again unless laziness strikes. :-P
