Friday Fill-In
- I was sleeping not too long ago and here I am now preparing dinner so late in the night.
- I played games all day and I left my books to rot.
- Why is life so difficult sometimes. Now I’m not too surprised about seeing a lot of Mesothelioma lawyers ads. You need all the help you need if you discovered you have Mesothelioma.
- Tranquility was in my thoughts today.
- One of my father’s favorite sayings was that a good education can bring you to places.
- Endless stress for days–I know that feeling!
- And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to resting, tomorrow my plans include laundry and some cleaning and Sunday, I want to go to church and work on a DIY project!
Productivity Gone
When you spend an entire day playing, you won’t get things done. I have been going through so much stress lately that I just want to take a breather and lose myself in a game. We just have different ways to deal with stress and mine is just different. When I was a student, I would play soothing music while I work on the lsat prep. I wish there were good online resources for me then. Mine was limited so I was just on my own, sweating my brains out. If only life is as easy as a typing game and I’m always greeted with this…

Sickies
The husband has been sick for a couple of days now. He was running a fever yesterday and complained about body aches. We took him to the doctor with the help of MIL and got some meds in the nearby pharmacy. It will take a couple more days and not to mention a couple more antibiotics before he can completely recover. Still, I’m thankful that it is not something major and treatment won’t be as intensive as that of Mesothelioma treatment. I on the other hand have a couple of mishaps because of my clumsiness. I have different bruises and cuts in my hands and legs, constantly hitting things around the house. It only means one thing – time to declutter!
Earth Day

Earth Day has come and gone and I realized that I have not posted anything about it. I participated in Earth Hour (last March 27) though if that counts.;) Also, the husband and I are always conscious in saving water and energy. We also recycle plastics and cans, use eco bags when shopping, use paperless bills and have a compost pit for food waste. Yesterday, I just added one other simple way in conserving. While waiting at the pharmacy, I saw Earth Day pledge board posted at the counter, just right next to an info about conjugated linoleic acid. One person wrote “I will turn off my computer at night.” After reading that I thought I should start doing that too. My laptop is on 24/7 even if I’m not waiting for a download. So last night, since I don’t need to run any programs while sleeping, I turned off my laptop and went to bed. Although this is not a major change but I think a little bit goes a long way. Readers, what are you doing for Earth today?
A Woman’s Life
Saturday is a day full of chores. I need to wash a week worth of clothes, de-clutter the house, take out trash etcetera, etcetera. To say that it is going to be a busy day is an understatement. Apart from being a chore day, I’m thinking of making half of the day as beauty day too. Just like there are once a week chores, there are also once-a-week beauty regimens like hair removal and deep exfoliation. The only problem is, will I still have enough energy after doing all the household work. If this sounds foreign to you, welcome to a woman’s world.
Of course, all of these hard work can be easily compensated by special surprises like guaranteed Branson vacations every year. *wink*
