Current Read: Watership Down

watership down
I just had to share that James Ford aka Sawyer also read the same book.  LOL

Title: Watership Down
Author: Richard Adams

It has been my current read for months now. Quite embarrassing, actually. I’m itching to read other books but I told myself that I need to get pass this before I move on to other stuff. So here I am, still reading that thing on and off and its not because its a bad book. It is just because of me being lazy. I should go back into reading and and if I have to stay up, I will have to, even if it means getting pimples here and there. I’m not worried about the pimples now though because I know where I can get natural acne products. If you are curious as to what I’m talking about, just click here. Anyway, I have enough time to finish Watership Down. I’m hoping to finish this thing before this month ends. With that said, I have about 2 weeks to read it so that should be a good amount of time.

Bad Diet

I’m such a bad girl these days because I’m back in eating junk once again. Yes, my friends, I have been eating artery-obstructing food and boy, my gall bladder is not happy about it. I swear this coming week, I will have to stick with steamed fish and veggies. I will also have to do lots of cardio workout so I can get rid of these extra pounds I gained. In times like these, I wish I have a good diet pill handy. I cannot turn back the hands of time and undo what I just did. I had a blast but it’s time to get serious.

Another Toy Story

toy story 3

After watching Machete the previous night, we headed again to the theater the following night to watch Toy Story 3 (3D).  We just recently had a marathon of the Toy Story movies because as absurd as it may sound, I have not seen any single one of them!  So when we watched the movie, the story line was still familiar to me.  I was a bit worried because everyone said the movie was sad like “Up” sad.  It was actually just fine, touching but not sad.

We had dinner at my favorite buffet restaurant – Golden Corral.  You won’t believe how fast we ate, not even 30 minutes!  LOL.  We did not want to be late so we ate as fast as we can.  Even if  it was a quick meal, I enjoyed my dinner and we even had dessert. We arrived at the theater early and was able to catch a couple of previews.  The husband mentioned that the movie previews that they were showing were too violent.  When the movie started, I was wondering why it did not look like an animation.  The husband said it looks like they are playing Piranha 3D so he went out and read the marquee outside.  It was a perfect timing that the cinema attendant went in so we told him that they are playing the wrong movie.  He called it in and they changed it to the correct one.  And so, more previews came but were kid-friendly this time.

After watching the movie, we went to a bookstore nearby to browse but it was already late so I did not get a lot of time to look around.  Next time, we plan on going earlier so I can have more time to browse on the different stores.  I had fun and enjoyed the night.  I even find the cinema’s little booboo, funny.

Movie Night: Machete

Late Monday night, we watched the movie Machete.  There were only a few people in the theater since it was quite late.  It was gory and hilarious at the same time.  There were a lot of cheesy lines all throughout the movie.  I gotta say, Michelle Rodriguez stood out more than Jessica Alba.  She was more feminine here (compared to her other movies) but still kickass.  I think Michelle is my new thin-spiration.  Hehe.

Last Hurray for the Summer

Fall is drawing closer but don’t put away your bikinis just yet because there’s still a bit more warm weather to come before the temperature starts dropping. I mentioned last time about wanting to take an Outer Banks vacation and to rent a gorgeous house via Carolina Designs. Well, I used some of my sleuthing skills to find more information about activities that can be done during a trip to OBX.

Other than water activities, there are also land activities to keep you busy. One of them is to go biking in the area. It is considered bicycle-friendly area because there are several wide paved shoulders and bike paths that you can use. Other than that, you can also go visit a row of art galleries in the Outer Banks. You can also explore the different lighthouses in the area. It seems that the Outer Banks is one of the good places to go to for a vacation as I read a lot of good reviews about the place.
