When It Rains, It Pours
I miss having a Christmas bonus because this month is quite a challenge to budget. I did not overspend on gifts or food, if that’s what you’re thinking. There are just some end-of-the-year expenses that have taken a big hole in the wallet. And of course, just when I was wishing that we will have just enough, something will break in the house. My home improvement plans will have to take a backseat but I will get a piece of Baldwin hardware someday. For now, my focus is to replenish our emergency funds and save, save, save!
Early Bird
I know that it is not even New Year’s yet but I’m already thinking about Valentines Day. I learned the hard way this Christmas not to procrastinate. I can’t really say anything about my plans for Valentines since the husband reads my blog. 
However, I’m expecting really nice valentine’s day flowers for that day. As to what kind do I prefer, I think I want a mix of different kinds this time. *hint* *hint* 
I have been getting roses from him all the time so I think I will be adventurous this year, I mean next year. Hehe.
DD 19: Movie With My Homies
It has been our plan for the last 6 months to watch Tron: Legacy in the theater. We finally got to watch it today with our nephews Chris and Alex. We had fun having them with us and I’m glad we drove to the city to watch this movie. Last time, we (me and the hunny) watched a movie, it was in a local theater here. The sound was awful and they don’t have theater seating. Live and learn!
DD 17: Christmas Schedule
I can’t believe we are only days away from Christmas. Traffic has been crazy with some folks doing their last-minute shopping. As for me, I still have recycled Christmas cards waiting to be sent out. Hunny will be working the eve and also the Christmas day itself which is quite unfortunate. We (me and Hunny) normally celebrate Christmas eve with dinner and opening gifts at 12AM. This year will be a little bit different. We will have Christmas dinner early so we can eat together before he goes to work.
