Easter Comeback
I have been gone in the blogging scene for quite a long time as part of my lenten sacrifice. Easter Sunday is over with, I’m now back for more posts. I actually slept most the weekend off. The husband was feeling under the weather so I rested with him. Sunday was spent working on our front yard. Just by simply cutting the overgrown grass and weeds made it 100 times better. I love it! I can now walk around the yard without worrying about those nasty cactus which spines somehow always end up on my feet. Maybe all the work in the yard will help me lose weight that I can actually fit into a sexy nurse costume. Hehe. We also had a wonderful dinner with the family that day. It was a productive day for us.
My Current Playlist
As I mentioned on my Night Owl Survival Tips, I play music at night to keep me awake. Pandora is my music bestie. These days I have been playing more of today’s hits. Here’s my current playlist:
Price Tag by Jesse J
Pretty Girl Rock by Keri Hilson –> Love this one to bits. Vain much? ![]()
Firework by Katy Perry –> What a feel good song! Makes me feel inspired every time I listen to it.
Waiting For The End by Linkin Park
Back To December by Taylor Swift
Blow by Ke$ha
Yeah 3x by Chris Brown
I always play upbeat and lively music the entire night. Slow songs tend to either get me tired or get bored. I wish I will be able to switch to a smartphone soon so I can buy HTC accessories and of course play my playlists.
Tossing and Turning
The inability to sleep on time seems to be a trend in this household. The husband has been complaining about sleeplessness too. Right now, I have been laying on the bed for hours now and I’m still wide awake. This is really bad as it is the eve of the trip to a government office. I would look like a zombie in my ID picture.

I have said before that rain usually gets me tired. However, these past few days, it has been causing me stress. We were hammered with bad weather here in the east coast. Since our humble abode is not made of sturdy material, it terrifies me every time the wind starts howling. Also, the weather radio added to my stress level when it went off in the middle of the night warning about a tornado. I actually slept fully clothed just in case we need to leave. I’m still thankful though that there were no critical damages in the house with all the storms that passed. Just a few rain drips here and there which was immediately remedied with a rag. There was in fact a tornado, 5 miles from our house. From what I heard in the news, there was only minimal damage to the area affected. There were also no catastrophe Maritime accidents as well. So in the end, there is so much to be grateful for. With that said, I’m praying for less storms and absolutely NO tornadoes! Hehe.
