Me: Yesterday and Today

I have been working like a horse these past few days. Cleaning up the house, washing a mountain load of laundry, cooking and everything else that a housewife would do. After being married for three years, I have completely become domesticated. Though I sure wish I can add “Goddess” to that title. Hehe. Who actually looks nice doing chores?

However, no matter how busy I am I still want something more in my plate. More in the lines of working in an air conditioned office with a good paying job. I miss going to work, having co workers who are also my friends outside of work and pay day of course! I love being a housewife BUT I still have this need of having a career. It will sure help in achieving our goals faster and not to mention the ability of buying decent gifts like tourmaster items. I’m hoping and praying this will be possible soon.

Today

I’m beat from going to different doctor’s appointments today. I wanted to take a dip in the above ground pool but it wasn’t often covered so bugs and leaves are all over it. Sturdy spa covers would really help in this case. Oh well, too tired now so I will just have to take a nap and have the A/C full blast. Nighty nite!

Cute Stationery

I don’t know what’s up with me and my love for cute things. They are like magnets that I can’t help get attracted to them. I just re-discovered my love for cutesy stationery. You are probably wondering that they are obsolete since we now live in a digital world but not for me though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE doodling. I also write notes to the husband from time to time. My father-in-law who doesn’t have access of the internet writes letters so there’s a perfect opportunity to write old school letters. I actually enjoy it even if I’m mostly typing now. The husband also encourages me to write because I mostly write in cursive which apparently is a dying art.

Since school opening is coming up, there are tons of office and school supplies now at the store. I’m hoping someone would put up a Siegel pop up booth of all cute stationery preferably from Japan and Korea. Yeah, that specific!

Crocheting and Gifting

I finished another amigurumi project. This one is for me this time! This is not an original idea. I googled for hamster amigurumi and one of the photos showed something that looks like this. I used an online picture as an inspiration. This hamster somehow looks like Hamtaro.

I’m still a beginner so the change of yarn color is not seamless yet. For now, I enjoy making little cuties like this. I don’t know yet if I really want to venture into making afghans. But one of the things that I really want to create are accessories, like a hat or scarf. I’m really enjoying this new hobby. I can’t believe that I have grown to love crocheting. They make perfect gifts too especially for the little ones. For 2nd wedding anniversary gifts though, I suggest something more special.

Friday Fill Ins

    friday fill in

  1. I hold you close to my heart.
  2. The husband is someone I like to travel with because there’s nothing like experiencing new things with the one you love. I know we are both scared of heights but I really want to try zip-lining and other chirp outdoor adventures.
  3. That day, I felt like I was on top of the world.
  4. I hope I can get what I have been wishing for this year.
  5. Trust in the Lord especially in the darker times.
  6. I can’t see well in the dark.
  7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finishing up some online tasks, tomorrow my plans include relaxing and Sunday, I want to go to church (which means sleeping early so I can wake up early)!
