Blogtober
I can’t believe October is about to end. These days, time is passing by like a race car for me. It doesn’t help that my connection keeps on dying. My router is having a hard time lately so this blog has been silent. Before October ends, I will share my Oktoberfest experience unless I forget and get caught up looking for houses for lease. No, I’m not moving although I sure wish I am. A bigger space with more leg room would really make me (and the husband) happy right now. Enough with my babbling, just check out coming posts.
Out on a Chilly Day
Today, I was able to go out from my little hole and explore the world. I went out with the husband today and watched “The Thing” which is a prequel of the 80’s movie. I won’t write down spoilers here but as expected, the movie is filled with startling scenes and a bunch of cgi. In short, it is your typical Hollywood scary movie.
After the movie, we had Chinese food which was mostly seafood. I did not enjoy it this time. We agreed to take a break from Chinese food in at least a month. While we were in the city, we browsed around two stores. First, the toy store just because we both wanted to see what are they selling right now. Then, instead of my usual Target visit, we went to an art supply store for a change. It felt like I haven’t been in one for ages! Beads, scrapbooking supplies, fabrics etc. were all over the place. My eyes were pleased but they were also getting tired. I went home empty handed. No biggie because shopping is the farthest thing in my mind right now. Anyway, it was nice to be out and about once again. No plans for tomorrow but I hope it involves being outside of the house once again.
Smash Book
I mentioned on a previous post about wanting to have a Smash Book and then not long after that, I blogged here about having it. Well, I have smashed a lot of pages since. I really enjoyed making the pages and the freedom it gives to scrap whatever, whenever. Here are some pages I made so far:

Based on my experience, the glue that came with it doesn’t hold that well. I think I will be using a scrapbook tape runner instead. Other than that, I have no other complaints. Instead of buying Smash Book accessories, I used some of my leftover scrapbooking supplies and I also made my own embellishments.
I actually have not touched my Smash Book in awhile so this post is a good reminder to add more stuff on it. After I check on cell booster stores online, I will order more prints so I can add them to my book. This is really fun and I recommend it. I wish I have thought of this when I was in highschool. It would have been great to look at old photos and notes that we used to pass around.
Swarming Babies
My Facebook account has been swarming with babies! Hehe. Most of the photos I see now are of babies. Most of them just had their baby this year. Two of my closest friends have just got pregnant this month too. One has been wanting to have one for years and I’m glad she finally got her wish. It is probably still early but I won’t be surprised if she already started checking out maternity clothes stores. On the other hand, my other friend is having an unexpected pregnancy. Not that it is unwanted but just unexpected. Nevertheless, it is still good news. I better not tell my mom about these baby stories else she’ll be wanting her grandkid as soon as possible. Hehe.
Fall Shows
Since I don’t have any social events (not even graduation invitations) to attend or vacation planned out, I decided to check out new shows for Fall/Winter. I still watch old favorites like Gossip Girl and Glee but I want to see something new as well.
New Girl
So far, I’m updated with New Girl which stars Zooey Deschannel. From what I read, the show was picked up for an entire season. This is a comedy, by the way. The show has a lot of potential but sometimes some scenes were dry. The friendship between the roommates just seems ‘forced’. I will continue to watch, maybe it will get better.
Person of Interest
Michael Emerson + Jim Caviezel equals powerful character acting. But it was boring for me. I like both of these actors but the flow of the story stopped me from finishing even the first episode.
Terra Nova
I watched the entire pilot episode while the husband fell asleep. He was bored after only 10 minutes of watching. Hehe. Well, I didn’t like this either. So I guess no scifi for me this Fall.
I still have two other shows to try though. Another girly show called Hart of Dixie and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer. I believe both are from the CW. Hopefully, one of them will get me interested.
