Book: Maze Runner
This is my first book for the year! I know I’m a little bit behind this dystopian series but who cares. LOL. If there is one thing I regret is that I waited so long to read it. This book was was so good! It was a little bit intimidating at first because I prefer a female heroine and with that a female writer. I was thinking that this will be a brusque and overwhelming testosterone induced story a totally boring story for this girlie. Well, it was more than that. Of course, there will be action packed scenes but overall the mystery and the sci-fi theme going on were the reasons why I got hooked.
I love that each chapter has a cliff hanger which makes you anxious to read more. There were some revelations here and there but not everything was revealed yet. So, I was more than happy to continue reading the series with Book 2 which is the Scorch Trials. I will talk about that in a separate post. All in all, Maze Runner is an amazing book and a good way to start my year with!
