Nostalgia Manila
Obviously, it is not Sunday yet but the kind of songs I’m playing can be categorized for ‘Sunday slowdown”. I told the husband that if my former co workers will just hear me play these songs on best two-way small bookshelf speakers, they will probably laugh. I can just hear James echoing “hit back…” I will probably make these part of my all time favorite videoke (aka karaoke) songs. Hehe. If you are curious about the playlist that I have, here are just some of the songs:
Tell Me – Joey Albert
Please Be Careful with My Heart – Jose Mari Chan
Say That You Love Me – Basil Valdez
Each Day with You – Martin Nievera
Friend of Mine – Odette Quesada
So It’s You – Raymond Lauchengco
I Need You Back – Raymond Lauchengco
Points of View – Pops Fernandez
To Love Again – Sharon Cuneta
Even If – Jam Morales
Don’t Know What to Do – Ric Segreto
You – Basil Valdez
A Smile in Your Heart – Jam Morales
P.S. I Love You
Don’t get this book confused with the new one written by Cecelia Ahern which was later turned into a movie with Gerry Butler and Hillary Swank on it. This is actually an old book written by Barbara Conklin. The first book from the Sweet Dreams collection. Gals born in the late 70’s up to early 80’s most likely heard and read this book. A lot of girls in my batch have read this somehow and shared the same fondness that I have. It is like a link to my teen years.
Actually, I didn’t own a copy of this book till now. I wanted to buy it a long time ago but they stopped printing it. I looked for it on used books shops but I just couldn’t find it. Now, more than a decade after, I saw it online and my husband bought it for me. I think I will keep this book and pass it on to my future daughter(s).
And Omri Was His Name…
I just recently got myself episodes of my favorite childhood show “Eerie Indiana”. I have never missed an episode before. Aside from the theme of the show, I had this crush with Omri Katz when I was a little girl. He was that same kid in the movie “Hocus Pocus”.
I would never forget that episode about the kid who can hear dogs communicate through his braces. Believe it or not, I thought about that when I got my first retainers. Hehe.
Anyway, I was wondering whatever happened to the show’s lead. I googled and found out that he is a hair dresser now according to imdb at least. His latest short film stint is quite far from the cute and smart Marshall Teller that I used to watch.
