Thankful

Wow, Gman gave me some juice.  If ya know what I mean.  Thank you and I hope it will increase and not dissappear.  It is not that big to boast about but I’m proud and thankful for this little blessing.  All this time I thought I got banned.  Thanks again! ;-)

Snap Shot

As you have noticed, most of the time I use blog pictures on posts to make it more appealing.  However, sometimes I have issues inserting images on my posts because of lack of appropriate pictures, the quality of pictures that my camera produces or simply because I’m in a hurry to post.  I actually searched for sites that provides images but most of them are not free and there is too much hassle in resizing the pictures.

Luckily, today I found acobox.com. I like the features that they offer like I can select the size of the image I want, I can hotlink it so that means that I save webspace on my hosting and I don’t have to signup for a 3rd party image hosting.  The images are also clear crisp and there are so many categories to choose from like animals, plants, landscape, people, abstract, architecture and even earth and space (which is so impossible for me to take picture myself).  But I think the best thing that I like is that its for FREE.  hehe.  You know how frugal I can get.  Check out this picture I got from their site that shows a close up of the bee.  Don’t you think it looks amazing?

Finders Keepers

I just love hidden object games!  This all started when I played Mystery Case Files.  I have played them all till the one with Madame Fate.  I’m waiting now for the “Return to Ravenhearst” which should be exciting.  The Husband loves the graphics and he said that its so artsy.  While waiting for it, I played other hidden object games like  Redrum Dead Diary, Mystery Secrets - Buckingham Palace, Murder Among Friends and now Dr. Lynch: Grave Secrets.  I recommend playing these games, they are fun and I think I learn new words every time.

Confession of a Shopaholic

As thanksgiving draws closer, anticipation of black friday sale is getting too hard to bear for shopaholics.  I know because I love shopping myself.  It is my hobby.  LOL. If one can’t go out that day, there’s always a way my friend - online shopping.  Speaking about shopping, I found a contest that will reward you for sharing your shopping confession and this could mean fabulous prizes that are worth $33,000.  Just sign up, share your confession and don’t forget to type my blog http://blog.jennyjenjen.com as the URL.  Good luck guys and I hope you will all join.  I wouldn’t pass up a chance like this.

Sensitivity Issue

I’m not talking about the emotion here but about my sensitive skin.  Its not easy to have sensitive skin.  I’m quite prone to rashes regardless if its from insects, food, soaps or even air.  It has been a disadvantage for me especially about an allergy that has gone bad on my right foot.  I was not able to wear sandals in a long time because of embarassment.  I have consulted several dermatologists but only one doctor was able to cure it.  After several painful foot injections and use of hypo allergenic soaps and lotions like Johnson and Johnson, it dissappeared.  For those who are experiencing what I have gone through, seek a doctor that can perform proper medical diagnostics and use products that are made for sensitive skin.  Read more

Olive Snook Words

As I previously posted, I like watching “Pushing Daisies”.  Kristin Chenoweth never fails to make me laugh with her funny lines and expressions.  Here are some of her lines as Olive Snook:

“No, I don’t have a gun, I am the gun”
“I’m resigning my tenders to the cold harsh reality of what’s not meant to be”
“I like my belongings that is why they belong to me”
“Forgive me father for I am going to file a police report on all my worldly possessions”
“I’m having awkward silences with God”

Thanks to the husband, I just added a new tv show in my favorite list.  Pushing Daisies is just one colorful show.  I like the big bright colors that they use and watching the show is like doing some light reading.  Living up to the title “pushing daisies”, the show revolves around Ned who can make a dead person alive by a simple touch of his finger.  The twist though is that on the second touch, that person will be dead again forever and if he let that person “live” for more than 1 minute, someone else will die.
