A Not So Extraordinary Tale
Yesterday, I went to the library and browse over some books. I actually don’t own a library card where I live right now. I have been using the husband’s for quite some time now. Well, it has been ages since I’ve borrowed a book here in our area. I cannot bring myself to apply for a card of my own without renting out some books. You see I have a self-imposed banned on reading other books until I finished reading this book that I haven’t finished for more than 6 months now. Embarassing, I know. I’m thinking of finishing it up for one entire day and night if I can just to work pass it. I know I would need acne products but it is all going to be worth it. I just want to read this particular book that I learned from NPR.

Current Reads
Two weeks ago, I was able to borrow some books from the library. I like the libraries around here because I don’t have to wait for a long line because they use gadgets like ls2208 scanner which makes borrowing books a breeze.
I got two
chic lits for light reading. Both books were written by Sophie Kinsella who is also the writer of the Shopaholic series. I really enjoyed her latest which is “Twenties Girl”. At first, I thought it will bore me but I was actually able to finish the book in no time.
The other book that I borrowed is “Undomestic Goddess”. I
was able to read half way through but then get bored. Also, around that time, I was also in pain so maybe that also contributed to that.
I’m thinking of another set of books to read but I will decide on that once I get over being sick.
Current Reads
I have been going to the library here frequently. I was able to finish two books last week and I just borrowed another two. I’m keen in finishing the shopaholic series. I immediately went over and look up the last two in the series – Shopaholic Ties the Knot and Shopaholic and Baby. I already started reading a couple of pages on the first book. Hopefully, I will be done with this before the due date comes. You will be surprise how many opportunities you can take to start reading a book.
I got the idea from one famous makeup guru in Youtube. If you live in the city where you have to wait for mostly everything then take those opportunities to read. An example is waiting for the bus, or waiting in line to pay for groceries. I actually did that today while I was waiting for the husband in the parking lot. I managed to read a couple of pages. Tonight, I will read a couple more but I won’t be able to stay up too long though because tomorrow will be a very busy day. Anyway, that’s all for now about reading and books. Good night!
What I’m Reading

When I saw, “What Were Reading” post by NPR on my Facebook feed, I decided to share mine here on the blog. Yesterday, I borrowed another book from the library called “Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom. I have seen this book when it was brand new a few years back because I had a coworker then who is a big fan of Mitch Albom books. I never get around into reading it that time so I’m doing it now and glad its for free. Hehe. To be honest though, I still haven’t finished reading another book, I borrowed last week. I’m already in the middle of it and I think I can finish it today if I won’t get distracted. In case you are wondering, I’m reading “Shopaholic Goes To Manhattan”. Other than reading for leisure, I plan on borrowing school books just to brush up on math and other stuff that I have forgotten over the years. Who knows next week, I can probably tell you exactly what glucosamine sulphate is without googling. So readers (no pun intended), what are you reading today?
Back To Reading
It has been ages since I spent time reading a book. So, the other day while the husband was busy attending to business, I took the opportunity in borrowing books from a public library. Finding that library three months ago was heaven sent eventhough it is about 35 miles away from where we live. I actually wanted a library card from a nearby public library but they are charging me $30 for one! Quite absurd when it should be free for public use. Anyway, I’m happy with the books I checked out which were mostly chic lits and one sewing book. I think I will be able to finish them even before the due date comes. Maybe next time, I’ll get a book about seo tools so I can improve the stats of my blogs.
