LO Share: Hairy Tales

It has been awhile since I shared digital layouts in this blog.  For some reason, I’ve been wanting to make something creative this past few days. I do love creating digital scrapbook layouts but somehow I wanted something that is tangible so I can feel the texture of my work.  I have been browsing several online craft stores and oh my I would love to get tons of supplies.  I have a set of plain and colored cardstock for my card making hobby but I don’t have printed papers and extra tools.  Due to budget constraints, I have contented myself in making a digital layout for now but one of these days, I will do a traditional layout just for the fun of it. :)

Anyway, here’s a layout of my ever changing hairstyle this year.  It seems a lot but the short haircut is actually the extreme.  For more of my projects, you can head over to my arts and crafts blog. Thanks for looking!

National Scrapbooking Day

There are so many sale on going for the National Scrapbooking Day.  I took advantage for this “holiday” to stock up on digital kits.  Most digital scrapbooking sites are on sale.  I bought about 6 kits today from Shabby Pickle Designs.  Can you believe it, they have $1 kits! Weee!  Today is the last day of sale on the digital stores.  Hurry and get your kits!

Artscow Photobook

While reading about Anoretix, I decided its time for a new post. We have been home for almost a week now since the trip. I have not been able to update this blog because I have been slaving away for my photobook. I want to take advantage of my freebies which will expire today. I did not have time to do the layouts during the trip so I had to cram and finish it. Thankfully, I was able to finish it last night and order them too. I chose glossy this time. I wonder what that will look like since most peeps I see online ordered the matte finish.

I already got the first photobook which is actually for “testing purposes”. I ordered that one in matte. The husband actually liked it and surprised that my freebie photobook is hardbound and stitched well. I have a few comments about the product though. The cover looks dirty. I’m thinking its probably the adhesive they use for covering the book. Also, the last two pages have page numbers in them and I’m quite sure I removed them all. Just to be fair, I checked again my saved design and the page numbers do appear in the last two pages so I guess its my fault then. One of the layouts have a real grainy picture and I think its because I used my old camera for that photo which has only 2.0 MP. All in all still not bad for a freebie. I hope the glossy one will look better. If you want to check out my Artscow photobook, feel free to view the pictures below.

Artsy Fartsy

I have not made any new layouts in the past few weeks but that doesn’t mean that I lost my mojo.  Actually, I have been attempting to do hybrid projects.  I know…very ambitious of me.  LOL.  Anyway, I already made a couple of them but I could not reveal them yet because I plan to mail them to family and friends.  I hope they will forgive my novice works. ;)   The other day, I spent that last 20 bucks on my purse for this paper cutter.  I got excited like a kid.  Of course, I tried it as soon as we got home.

In the meantime, let me share this layout I have made for our cat.

Dear Me

In celebration of my birthday, I am posting this letter to myself.  I actually made this layout a month ago.  I just thought today is the proper time to post it.  Thanks for checking it out.
