Two Days In A Row

…of walking. It felt nice to sweat again. Tomorrow, I will take a break from walking because there’’s a whole lot of cleaning going on. I guess I can count that as cardio, right? :) I’m not really losing any weight these days since I have been eating junk lately. Yeah, poor choice of food but I want to improve that soon. Before the junk food came, I have been grilling chicken for our lunch. It was a healthy meal but tiring too. It would be easy if we own one of those electric grills. Then, I won’t have to lit coals and smell like smoke. Anyway, I want to put back fish and veggies to my diet. With good food and regular exercise, maybe I can lose more pounds.

Publix Option

publix

We now have a new favorite store to shop for food. During the time that I was sick, the husband has been living off of Publix subs and their teas. He actually lost a lot of weight. He now looks like he’s been taking apidexin for years. But then again, he was also stressed and tired during those times. As for me, I want to take a break from eating subs, not that I ate subs often. I just don’t eat a lot of bread.

I saw that one of the Publix stores here have sushi. Yay! They are freshly made by an angry looking Asian with a bluetooth. Haha. It’s just that when I passed by the sushi aisle, he’s there looking angry but I may be wrong.:-P Anyway, other than the subs, tea and sushi, we also like the kosher half-sour pickles they sell. I don’t like sweet pickles so this one suites my taste. The milk that we bought there has a label that says it’s hormone free. That sounds good to me. The less chemicals, the better. Oh and by the way, I am not paid in anyway by Publix but I wish they would. I accept sushi as payment. *wink wink*

Heart Attack Meals

I have been a very bad eater lately. My meals consist mostly of vein constricting food like fried chicken from KFC and a good ol southern food at Chicken King. Yeah, I’m eating like I’m on a vacation. The worst part is that I haven’t done any physical exertion to burn all those calories.

Today, I ate good except for that bag of prawn chips. Tomorrow will be a different story because it will be my birthday. It’s time for a bit of celebration, baby! That only comes once a year so I might as well eat good, right? ;) I’m thinking seafood, lots of it! Too bad we are out of town so we can’t dine on our favorite seafood place in Panama City.:( Despite the lack of exquisite Dolan Designs lighting, the 2nd best seafood in town will do for now.

Something Fishy

tilapia

tilapia + kamatis = heaven

This is what I had for lunch the other day. In case you don’t recognize it, its fried tilapia. I ate it with steamed rice and roma tomatoes. I squeezed one key lime on the diced tomatoes and added some soysauce.

key limes

The reason why I got these key limes is because they look like the calamansi that I know. I figured they probably taste the same but I was wrong. They taste like…key limes..ha! No surprise there. It was a good meal and I think no amount of appetite suppressant can stop me from eating this meal. Me and the entire room smelled like fried fish but its all worth it. I just had to shower and light up the potpourri burner and everything smelled nice again.

Food and Weight Loss

I have had several experience when it comes to dieting for weight loss.  Most of it involves starving myself and of course that never works long term.  I did a quick research online for food that can serve as natural fat burners.  I’m not sure if they are 100% effective but I want to try them out and see if it will work. So, here’s a couple of food that might aid in weight loss:

  • Citrus fruits
Citrus fruits or simply fruits rich in vitamin C like grapefruit, tangerines and oranges can help burn fat. Vitamin C helps in oxidation of fat thus helping in weight loss.
  • Apples and Pears
Both fruits are good sources of fiber. Fiber reduces cholesterol and control fat absorption. Also, apples and pears are quite filling which helps control overeating.
  • Nuts
This is a good solution for constant hunger pangs. It is considered a better alternative to other snacks like chips and cookies. They are high in fat so portion control is advised. Some nuts contain omega-3 fatty acids that helps fight heart disease.
  • Dark Chocolate
I’m not big in sweets so its easy for me to avoid chocolates in the store. However, it seems that dark chocolate aids in weight loss because of its antioxidant properties.
