Merry Blogging Day 11: Sneaking in the Dark

When you are desperate for internet connection, you will do anything to get back online.  Armed with a big flashlight, I went to the dark garage to restart the router.  And in the name of documentation of my December, here’s a photo.  LOL.

Unplugged

If there’s one thing that I have accomplished in this recent sickness, it would have been being offline for hours.  Internet has become my biggest distraction for two years now.  I have somehow spent most of the time online than the real world.

But ever since I got sick, I spent less time on my good ole laptop.  While I suffer from back pain and constant coughing, getting online became the least of my priorities.  I didn’t miss browsing my favorites sites or even playing my online games.  I was happy reading a book as I lay.  Though I cannot completely remove the computer and the internet in my life, I decided to use my time wisely instead of wasting away precious time on endless browsing.  I will make use of it when I need to research something important like an iphone warranty for example.  Now, there’s one other thing that I wish I was able to accomplished with this sickness, and that is to lose weight.  I’ll find out this weekend on our weekly weigh in. *fingers crossed*

WW – Internet Buddies

Life Online

Sometimes the Husband asks me why I don’t get bored just staying at home.  I often answer him “as long as there is internet”.  When our dsl service is down, he would catch me in a grouchy mood.  Hehe.  My laptop has been my all around appliance.  Aside from the usual internet stuff like browsing, blogging, chatting, it also has become my music player, television, phone and so many more.

The internet has provided me with endless possibilities.  It has been an avenue for me to learn new skills from cooking, gardening even to as simple as french braiding my own hair.  That is why it is important for me to be able to find things quickly online. If I’m in the mood of trying out a new recipe, I just go to Find.com Search Engine then look for that moist chocolate cake recipe that I have been craving for.  More and more people are taking advantage of the internet.  Old age doesn’t stop our grandparents to discover something new online.  Even for technologically challenged folks, they won’t have trouble remembering the name of the search engine like find.com.  It is pretty basic.

In this information age, people are willing to share their knowledge and skills online.  I always make sure though that I read the right stuff because not everything online is correct.  There are so many hoaxes too.  Reading peoples comments helps especially if you are going to purchase products online.

Thankful

Wow, Gman gave me some juice.  If ya know what I mean.  Thank you and I hope it will increase and not dissappear.  It is not that big to boast about but I’m proud and thankful for this little blessing.  All this time I thought I got banned.  Thanks again! ;-)
