I have been salivating with KFC fried chicken for the longest time.  Today, I finally gave in and decided to eat at a KFC buffet nearby.  Quite unusual for me to eat at a KFC buffet because I have never heard one till I got here in the US of A.  I was delighted when I saw rice as part of the buffet meals.  Why?  I’m Asian and rice is a staple in every Pinoy’s meal.  Suprisingly, I did not eat much than I expected.  All the grease and fat got me full immediately.  The worst part is that I feel like throwing up after eating.  Thankfully, I had mint gums in my purse.  It removed the oily taste in my tongue and made me feel better.

My Weekend So Far

Due to lack of gaming console such as playstation 3, I have made myself contented on playing online games. Right now, I have been playing a lot of facebook games. The husband knows when I’m busy plowing or harvesting on my farm. Hehe. Last night though, I had to stop my games and enjoyed my friday night with the Husband. It was movie night and we watched the terrifying movie on DVD. Tonight, we will probably watch another one but perhaps an oldie. I want some Tim Burton movies or should I say Johnny Depp movies. Hehe. Everything is quite normal (aka slow) here in nowhere land. I think I will sneak in some creative projects today too.

Old Movie

Last night, me and the Husband watched the original “Friday the 13th” movie on a friday the 13th.  Just a little trivia, the movie was shown on my birth year.  Although, it is not as visual as the newer versions, this still surprises me on some scenes.  Kevin Bacon was on it which the Husband finds so interesting.  The Husband was trying to scare me after the movie by telling me that we are in the woods and it was raining just like the setting on the movie.  It didn’t work and the rain was so relaxing.  We slept around 1AM already so I wasn’t really have time to ponder in getting scared.  Talking about sleeping late, I will have to change my hours because of this rampant occurance of pimples.  If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to look for an effective acne treatment.

Button’s Button

This was my most awaited movie for 2008 and I’m glad I was able to watch it with the Husband.  Although the trailer pretty much says it all, I love the twists in the movie and some funny anecdotes.  I want to share some of the nice lines from this movie.

“We’re meant to lose the people we love.
How else would we know how important they are to us?”

“You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. you can swear and curse the fates, but in the end, you have to let go.”

For what it’s worth, it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. “There’s no time limit… start whenever you want… you can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that stop you. I hope you feel things that you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”

“We are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss.”

“Life can only be understood looking backward. It must be lived forward.”

“It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realize what’s changed, is you.”

“Will you still love me when my skin is old and saggy?” He replies, “Will you still love me when I have acne, wet the bed and am afraid of what’s under the stairs?”

“Sugar, we all end up in diapers.”

Korean Overload

mysoju

For those who doesn’t have easy access to asian dramas like me, I depend on the internet to provide me with my korean drama addiction. mysoju.com is definitely one site worth checking out. It is quite updated with the latest dramas and movies.

Lately though, I have noticed that I can no longer access their site. It seems that they are having technical difficulties with their domain. I just checked and they are back online. Woohoo! :)

Jena

That will be a more appropriate title for our movie.  Don’t get the movie poster fool you, I’m not pregnant.  Just having a good laugh!
