The Emmys

Olive Snook and Benjamin Linus

Before I go hunting for free directory submissions, I just want to mention about the recent emmy awards. I’m so happy that my two bets won this year. Kristen Chenoweth won as best supporting actress in a comedy for Pushing Daisies.  She did well on the show and I liked it even more when she sings on some scenes.  I miss the show. :( I hope ABC or another network will bring it back. It was a lovely show.  Kudos to Bryan Fuller!

Michael Emerson also won an award that night for LOST. He is such a good actor that even when he is just being Michael, he still gives me the creeps. Haha. Benjamin Linus will always be in my nightmares.

TV Land

Gossip Girl -  I’m not a big fan of Aaron (John Patrick Amedori) but somehow on the show he kinda reminds of Milo Ventimiglia so I will give him cute points for that.  LOL.  As for the real cutie Nate, I don’t like his recent choices:  Little J and Vanessa?!? Ewww.  I want more action from the Queen Bee that is Blair.  She seems to be incognito now a days.  I also miss seeing her headband collection.  I just read an interview of Josh Schwartz (creator of Gossip Girl) that Georgina will come back to haunt the Upper East Siders so that will bring again some ’sparks’.  As for Bart, they killed them off this week but he’s always in a trip anyways.  I’m still awaiting the whole deal with Lily and Rufus’ spawn.  Unborn or hiding somewhere, who knows?

Pushing Daisies -  Last week’s episode was so amazing.  Bursting in colors like always and the cinematography is just so wonderful.  The Husband said that is now his favorite episode.  As for me, just make Olive (Kristen Chenoweth) sing and its a done deal. :)

Day of Disappointments

*sigh*  Yesterday is definitely that day.  I won’t share all of them for good reasons except one.  I’m so bummed that one of my favorite shows “Pushing Daisies” is now really pushing daisies in the TV world.  ABC has decided to cancel the show due to its poor viewership.  Sad, sad, sad. :(   This is such a wonderful show.  Me and the Husband awaits every single episode of this critically acclaimed show.  If Bryan Fuller (creator) will make a movie of this show, I will definitely watch it in the big screen.

Even Emerson Cod looked gloomy

The Facts are These

Yesterday when I logged on to twitter, I read that Pushing Daisies is in danger of being cancelled.  You know how much I like this show.  Apparently, the show’s viewership is low compared to last season.  It is sad to know that this critically acclaimed show will be cancelled just because people prefer to watch nonsense shows.  I hope viewers will soon realize how beautiful this show is and start watching it.  I like the plot, the colorful set, the nice brit accent narration and the rhyming lines.

Olive Snook Words

As I previously posted, I like watching “Pushing Daisies”.  Kristin Chenoweth never fails to make me laugh with her funny lines and expressions.  Here are some of her lines as Olive Snook:

“No, I don’t have a gun, I am the gun”
“I’m resigning my tenders to the cold harsh reality of what’s not meant to be”
“I like my belongings that is why they belong to me”
“Forgive me father for I am going to file a police report on all my worldly possessions”
“I’m having awkward silences with God”

Separated at Birth?

The first time I saw Ned (Lee Pace) on Pushing Daisies, I thought he seems so familiar like I have seen him in another show or perhaps a movie.  Now I know, he looks like Data (from Star Trek).  Lookie, lookie…

BTW, tomorrow is the premiere of the 2nd season.  Don’t forget to watch it. :)

Thanks to the husband, I just added a new tv show in my favorite list.  Pushing Daisies is just one colorful show.  I like the big bright colors that they use and watching the show is like doing some light reading.  Living up to the title “pushing daisies”, the show revolves around Ned who can make a dead person alive by a simple touch of his finger.  The twist though is that on the second touch, that person will be dead again forever and if he let that person “live” for more than 1 minute, someone else will die.
