More Gossip!

Yay! Gossip Girl is coming back soon, on September 13 to be exact. I already marked it on my calendar with alerts to remind me. Hehe.

TV Or Not TV
During one of our grocery trips, we saw this huge LCD TV in the display area. We both could not help ourselves from looking at it. The images were crystal clear. It was quite tempting and I instantly imagined us watching movies on that TV. I just learned from my Aunt that most stores no longer sell the bulky televisions. It is all about flat screens now which is good space saver. As far as electricity usage and additional functions, reading tv reviews helps.
Current Shows: DDD and TB
The shows that I regularly watch are currently on break. So, I thought this will be a boring summer but I’m happy that I discovered Drop Dead Diva. How? You know those ad banner things? Yep, it worked on me. LOL. I love each and every episode. It was well done and even if Jane Bingham would wear a plus size lingerie in the show, I bet it will still look conservative. I like that they have the “moral of the story” at the end because that is rare in television these days. I recommended the show to my friends and so far they are liking it too.

This second one is an old time favorite. I have never really been into the vampire wagon. When I watched the first season of True Blood, it was just out of curiosity. I was wondering what is all the hype with this particular show. After the pilot season, I could no longer stop myself from watching. The way they end each episode will make you want to watch the next one. If you watch 24, then you know what I mean.
You LOST Me There
The topic of discussion in this house for days now is all about Lost. Yeah, the show is over and done with but we are still confused. Haha! I want more answers. I do love the last scene when Jack’s eye closed. Remember when his eyes opened in the pilot? That was sweet!
We have different theories here and there but the husband and I still have not arrived in a final conclusion. I see Losties are divided too when it comes to the final episode. Some like it and some don’t. It is sad to know that I won’t get the answers to my questions through the show. Today is Tuesday and there is no more Lost episodes.
I am now dedicating my Tuesdays to Glee. Normally, I watch Glee episodes the day after but it will be different from now on.
One thing that I enjoyed about the season finale are the Tar-jay (Target) ads. They were Lost themed and were so hilarious. Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) can be on a hospital disinfectant ad, just saying.

the doctor is in!
What I’m Watching
Gossip Girl
I just finished watching the season finale. In my opinion, GG has lost its steam this season. I don’t know why but it is no longer the same as before. I like it way back when Blair Waldorf was the queen bee of Constance. Now, she’s just transformed into a goody goody outcast of NYU. Also, I’m getting tired of Serena’s habit of switching boyfriends. It is slowly becoming like “The Bold and The Beautiful”. As for Jenny Humprey, she needs a fresh new look. All that emo makeup makes her look older than CeCe. It’s funny that I don’t have much to post about the male characters. Chuck has become like Blair – boring. His character is now showing enzyte side effects. LOL. I do hope they will have a better season this fall. I really want to keep watching the show. Please, please writers, make it exciting again.
Flashforward
The pilot episode was good. I love the effects and all. As the show progresses, the husband started losing interest. I, on the other hand, held on because I hate starting something that I won’t finished. Sadly, this week ABC announced its cancellation. I hate it when networks do that. I want them to tie all loose ends without fast forwarding (no pun intended) it. So now it turns out, I just wasted my time watching the show. We (the viewers) are always at the mercy of the networks. What a sad ending.
Lost
Tonight is the last episode before the season finale. I’m excited but I canot watch it till the husband gets home. I hope they answer all the questions. We were already tired but I’m glad we were able to watched it midnight before going to bed. There is going to be a party (in this house, at least) on May 23rd for the last episode ever!
Glee
I’m a Gleek too! But I have to watch each episode the next day to give way to Lost episodes with the husband. I do enjoy each episode and I “force” the husband to watch it with me from time to time. He knows most songs in the show than I do! I always love musical shows but sometimes they can get cheesy. Glee is different though. I find each character very animated. To me, its like a musical version of Pushing Daisies.
I also have a couple of shows that I watch from time to time like V, Happy Town (new), Cleveland Show, SNL and Family Guy. I’m also waiting for the return of the only vampire-themed series that I watch - True Blood. Even though it seems like I’m watching a lot, it is still not as much as I used to. I have gotten rid off my junk tv days. No reality shows for me except Forensics but that doesn’t really count.
