Drama Queen
I am such a sucker for asian dramas specifically the korean ones. Right now I have been watching Coffee Prince episodes. I have seen this before and yes, I’m watching it all over again. Sometimes my computer slows down because I have too much screens open (Hunny, it’s time to upgrade the computer memory
). I love multitasking that while watching the show, I’m also browsing and playing free cell and solitaire at the same time. I’m such a weirdo! Anyway, I just finished watching “Full House” the other week (which I have seen several times too). I’m revisiting my favorite Korean dramas while my American series are on break. The next in line is “Delightful Girl, Choon Hyang”. By the time I’m done with these, my shows will be back on. These are the only drama in life I want to have.
Are You a Lostie?

my all-time favorite love triangle. HAHA
Me and the husband are big fans of ABC’s Lost. To be honest though, the first two seasons were not that exciting for me. I was bored on some episodes but I guess that’s what happen when you watch that show alone. Anyway, this season is the best so far. There were so many revelations. I can’t wait for the next episodes. We are so addicted to it that we would watch again the same episode the next day. It is a highly detailed show so we enjoy looking at the little clues on the set. We have our own set of theories about the story and its characters. We will see who will have the right guesses when this show ends. The husband will probably get most of them right. He is more analytical than I am. That’s what I get from too much browsing on online stores and staring at tv deals all day.
TV Series
I love my tv shows so when I heard “Pushing Daisies” was canceled, I got sad. It is one of those shows that I appreciate watching. Not only that the actors are good or the scripts and stories beautiful but the show is so visually appealing. The colors they use are so vibrant and very retro. When we watch the show, the Husband makes sure that it is on high definition so we can appreciate it more. There are so many TVs in the market now like LCDs and HDTVs for our viewing pleasure. They are crisp clear that you can even see the actors pores. I tell you, everyday we keep on coming up with new stuff.
As for the show, they are on break right now so we don’t have our regular wednesday show. In the mean time, he is getting excited with the return of ABC’s Lost. This is another show that one needs to pay attention not only on the story but also the set. There are so many hidden things that they placed on each set. You need a high definition tv to enjoy the show. To take full advantage of the aesthetic beauty and immense details that they pour in to that show, an HDTV is a must.
TV Land
Gossip Girl - I’m not a big fan of Aaron (John Patrick Amedori) but somehow on the show he kinda reminds of Milo Ventimiglia so I will give him cute points for that. LOL. As for the real cutie Nate, I don’t like his recent choices: Little J and Vanessa?!? Ewww. I want more action from the Queen Bee that is Blair. She seems to be incognito now a days. I also miss seeing her headband collection. I just read an interview of Josh Schwartz (creator of Gossip Girl) that Georgina will come back to haunt the Upper East Siders so that will bring again some ’sparks’. As for Bart, they killed them off this week but he’s always in a trip anyways. I’m still awaiting the whole deal with Lily and Rufus’ spawn. Unborn or hiding somewhere, who knows?
Pushing Daisies - Last week’s episode was so amazing. Bursting in colors like always and the cinematography is just so wonderful. The Husband said that is now his favorite episode. As for me, just make Olive (Kristen Chenoweth) sing and its a done deal.
TV Shows
Yay, Gossip Girl again tonight. I can’t wait. I only have two shows that I regularly watch and that’s Gossip Girl and Pushing Daisies. I have to wait for LOST next year and Secret Diary of a Call Girl is currently on hiatus. Other times though, I watch Korean or Taiwanese tv shows online. I only got one episode left of “It Started with a Kiss 2:They Kiss Again”. I better find another asian show to follow up.
TARA Lets
TARA aka The Amazing Race Asia 3 will soon start airing on AXN although the actual race is already finished last June. The Philippines will be represented by only 1 team – dating couple Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang. They are two familiar faces. Geoff Rodriguez was part of the defunct Power Boys. Those guys who became popular because of deodorant commercial singing ala boy band. Tisha Silang on the other hand was a beauty queen. She won Binibining Pilipinas – Universe but has to relinquish her title due to citizenship issues.
I bet it was tough for them following last year’s team (Rovilson Fernandez and Mark Nelson). It was a really good fight and they kept filipinos glued to their televisions. I just hope that Tish and Geoff were able to stay long enough.
Copycat?

Iza Calzado is one of my favorite actress in the philippines. She seems to be down-to-earth and simple. Although, her upcoming show ESP seems to remind me of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Ghost Whisperer. I hope this show will not be another copycat. I would want to see her in a heavy drama soap that will show her acting prowess.
