Fall Shows

Since I don’t have any social events (not even graduation invitations) to attend or vacation planned out, I decided to check out new shows for Fall/Winter.  I still watch old favorites like Gossip Girl and Glee but I want to see something new as well.

New Girl
So far, I’m updated with New Girl which stars Zooey Deschannel.  From what I read, the show was picked up for an entire season.  This is a comedy, by the way.  The show has a lot of potential but sometimes some scenes were dry.  The friendship between the roommates just seems ‘forced’.  I will continue to watch, maybe it will get better.

Person of Interest
Michael Emerson + Jim Caviezel equals powerful character acting.  But it was boring for me.  I like both of these actors but the flow of the story stopped me from finishing even the first episode.

Terra Nova
I watched the entire pilot episode while the husband fell asleep.  He was bored after only 10 minutes of watching.  Hehe.  Well, I didn’t like this either.  So I guess no scifi for me this Fall.

I still have two other shows to try though.  Another girly show called Hart of Dixie and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer.  I believe both are from the CW.  Hopefully, one of them will get me interested.

Current Show: Pretty Little Liars

While my favorite shows are still on break, I’m trying out a new series called Pretty Little Liars. I need a filler show at the moment and one of my guilty pleasures is watching  a teenybopper themed shows/movies which is exactly how this one is. The show is like a teenage version of Gossip Girl with a murder added into to the plot. If GG characters live in the Upper Eastside, the girls of PLL live in a neighborhood called Rosewood wherever that is. :) It is supposedly a rich gated community where women buy cubic zirconia rings like candies. Get the picture?  And just like GG, this is based on a book series as well.  While I don’t have plans on reading the books, I will continue watching the show.  Just two more episodes and I’m updated!

Current Shows: Gossip Girl and Hellcats

I already watched the last episode of Drop Dead Diva. The last scene was with Grayson laying lifeless after being hit by a car. Will I watch the next season? A resounding yes, of course! ;) As for True Blood, Sookie is starting to annoy me. However, she can redeem herself by hooking up with Alcide. Hehe. Come on writers, don’t just copy what the book says. I want more Alcide scenes! Give the good guy/wolf a chance. Hehe. As for Bill Compton, he needs to get some help from www.male-enhancements.com.

As I bid farewell (just for now) to Drop Dead Diva and True Blood, I welcome with open arms my favorite series – Gossip Girl. The first episode this season is already intriguing so I can’t wait for the next one to come out. Will there be a big reveal as to who exactly is Gossip Girl? If that will happen, I want the voice of Gossip Girl aka Kristen Bell to be the one.

hellcats and gossip girl

Hellcats is a new series from CW as well. It stars Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka. It’s quite a girly girly show to think it revolves around cheerdancing. Let me just say that Aly may just be my ultimate thin-spiration. I hope the show will last long because I hate investing time on a show which will later be canceled by the network.

More Gossip!

Yay!  Gossip Girl is coming back soon, on September 13 to be exact.  I already marked it on my calendar with alerts to remind me.  Hehe.

TV Or Not TV

During one of our grocery trips, we saw this huge LCD TV in the display area. We both could not help ourselves from looking at it. The images were crystal clear. It was quite tempting and I instantly imagined us watching movies on that TV. I just learned from my Aunt that most stores no longer sell the bulky televisions. It is all about flat screens now which is good space saver. As far as electricity usage and additional functions, reading tv reviews helps.
